The debut film by Kurdish director and author Hawraz Mohammed tells the story of Harun, a veteran of the Kurdish Civil War, plagued by PTSD and the overwhelming guilt he like so many others, carries. Through the figure of Harun, Mohammed channels the harsh realities of a never-ending war – the one inside. To seek absolution, he must confess his darkest secrets to a traditional Kurdish tattooist who lives in a village on the borders of Iran, Iraq, and Turkey, a place once sacred, now torn, without knowing what he will find there.
