CFF’s Annual State of the Industry Panel brings together professionals from across the sector to explore the key developments in the film industry over the past year. With BSL interpretation.
Emily Morgan
Emily Morgan is a London-based producer and founder of Quiddity, developing film and TV projects internationally. Her first feature production was the BAFTA-winning I Am Not A Witch, written and directed by Rungano Nyoni. Recent projects include The Settlers (Felipe Gálvez), Dreamers (Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor) and The Wolf Will Tear Your Immaculate Hands (Nathalie Álvarez Mesén). She is currently in pre-production for Felipe Gálvez’s second feature, Impunity
Mariyah Dosani
Mariyah Dosani is Head of Media & Entertainment Financing at Calculus, bringing over 13 years’ experience across legal and business affairs, content distribution and production financing. She oversees production financing, sourcing and structuring bespoke financing provisions for film & TV. Since 2020, she has overseen the deployment of over £150M into projects, with executive credits including Deep Cover, H Is for Hawk, The Night House, Stuffed, Vanished and Mavis Ecclestone.
Peter Bradshaw
Peter Bradshaw has been chief film critic of The Guardian since 1999. His selection of reviews, The Films That Made Me, is published by Bloomsbury; he is the author of three novels and a collection of short stories, and the Channel Four drama he co-wrote, Hunting Alice Bell, will be broadcast in October.
Melanie Iredale
Melanie Iredale (she/her) is Director of Reclaim The Frame, the UK charity championing women and marginalised gender filmmakers and building audiences for their work. Previously Deputy Director and Interim Director of Sheffield DocFest, she has 20 years’ experience across film programming, talent development, audience engagement and industry strategy, and works internationally as a consultant, mentor, moderator and speaker.

Join us for a Q&A with Harry Lighton, director of debut feature Pillion (2025), which has won multiple international awards, including Best British Independent Film at the 2025 BIFAs. Harry will share his journey into film and his experience receiving BFI Short Film Funding for his BAFTA-nominated short, Wren Boys.
