BSL

British Sign Language-interpreted introductions, Q&As and events - seats are allocated to ensure a good view of the interpreter. If you require one, please email info@cambridgefilmfestival.org.uk

Hearing Loops / Induction Loops

Customers with hearing impairment can request an Induction Loop to amplify the film soundtrack. A small number are available from the Arts Picturehouse for films showing on TTP Screen 1. You can request them at the box office. The Induction loops work with your Hearing Aid, and we will set these up for the customer so that it receives the IR signal from the screen emitter.

For customers who are blind or partially sighted

Assistance Animals

Guide dogs and assistance animals are welcome in the cinema. If you wish to take an assistance animal to a performance, please let the cinema staff know when booking so they can arrange an aisle seat.

For audiences with reduced mobility or using a wheelchair

Physical Access to screens

All the screens at the Arts Picturehouse cinema, the main Festival venue, are fully accessible to customers with limited mobility, including wheelchair users. All screens are located on the fourth floor and are accessible via a lift situated by the stairs to the screens on the first floor past the Kiosk. When you arrive at the cinema ushering point, a long ramp leads down to the three screen entrances. Cinema toilets are on the first floor past the kiosk area and include an accessible toilet (on the left-hand side when you are through to the toilet hallway) All screens have dedicated wheelchair spaces. If you wish to book a wheelchair space, please mention this when booking over the phone or in person.

Alternatively, contact the cinema at cambridge@picturehouses.co.uk, and they can ensure that space is kept free for you.

Physical Access around the Arts Picturehouse cinema

The accessible entrance to the building is on the right-hand side. There is ramp access to both front entrances, but the right-sided entrance is where the lift is located. This lift will take you to the first-floor foyer, where you can locate the Kiosk and the Bar/ Restaurant area on the second floor. There aren't any parking facilities at the cinema; the nearest car park is at the Grand Arcade, a 7-minute walk (0.3 miles).
