Applications Open for Reel Voices

Are you aged 16–30 and passionate about film? Do you dream of sharing your thoughts on the big screen with a wider audience?

The Cambridge Film Festival, in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University, is delighted to announce that applications are now open for Reel Voices, our mentoring programme for aspiring film critics.

Reel Voices provides young people with the opportunity to take their first steps into film journalism. Participants will:

  • Attend the Festival with full press accreditation

  • Publish reviews on the Festival’s website and platforms

  • Take part in one-to-one mentoring with experienced industry professionals

  • Join workshops designed to build writing skills, confidence and critical insight

No prior experience is required, just a passion for film and a willingness to learn. Reel Voices is about potential, enthusiasm and giving new writers a platform.

If you know someone who would be interested in this opportunity, please encourage them to apply.
