Synopsis

Experience life through a polar bear’s eyes in this breathtakingly cinematic documentary. Dubbed “the world’s polar bear capital”, Churchill, Canada, has become a famous destination for wildlife lovers. Standing on an ancient polar bear migration route, it has been the home of Arctic peoples for millennia. Today, as the ice recedes, the number of polar bears passing through Churchill is increasing, mixing the wild animal’s world with that of humans. As people set out to deter "nuisance" bears, Vanden & Weisman adopt the perspective of a bear navigating this changing landscape, offering a unique view of a species in crisis.
