Synopsis

Winner of the Grand Prix at Cannes Film Festival, Russian director-in-exile Andrey Zvyagintsev returns with an adaptation of Claude Chabrol’s The Unfaithful Wife, reworked to reflect the systemic corruption in his native country amid Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Minotaur follows Gleb, a company director living in the suburbs with his nuclear family, who is pressured to create a draft quota sending some staff to the frontline. As he comes up with a sordid plan to avoid parting with his employees, Gleb discovers that his wife is cheating on him in this tense thriller.
