Synopsis

Filmmaker Ester Martin Bergsmark (Something Must Break, CFF43) interrogates their response to a transphobic slur hurled at them following their move to Berlin, turning the threat into a multi-layered, poetic confrontation with anthropocentrism. Exploring the root of violence and its nature, this is a powerful meditation on the trans experience and a treatise on how to move forward from fear. Visually explosive imagery allows thoughts, feelings and actions to meet in this sensory exploration, finding one’s way back to life, desire and oneself.
