We are looking for both a Marketing Coordinator and an Events & Venues Manager.

 


 

MARKETING COORDINATOR

We are looking to recruit an experienced and energetic Marketing Coordinator to assist the Marketing Manager and the small Festival team in the smooth delivery of the 2019 Festival and satellite events.

Working for the CFF offers an invaluable experience in the operation of an established and successful Film Festival.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, and working within a small team, you will assist with all aspects of the Festival marketing and outreach in the lead up to the Festival and during the Festival itself. Including but not limited to: sourcing distribution outlets for print and digital marketing materials; social media scheduling; updating Festival website; overseeing the production and distribution of Festival trailers; and contributing to social media marketing strategy and management

The successful candidate will be proactive and have a audience focused approach whilst working in a team and in high pressure environments. They will have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as a strong knowledge of current marketing best practice. A flexible approach to work is essential as well as the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Salary:  £22,000 per annum pro-rated.

Contract: Fixed Term six-month contract, from June 2019.

EVENTS & VENUES MANAGER

We are looking to recruit an experienced and energetic Events & Venues Manager to assist the Director and the small Festival team in the smooth delivery of the 2019 Festival and satellite events.

Working for the CFF offers an invaluable experience of the operation of an established and successful Film Festival.

Reporting to Festival Director,  you will manage the smooth running of venues & outdoor screenings (including volunteers and interns) in the lead up to the Festival and during the Festival itself.

Movies on the Meadows – Grantchester (24-26 August 2019)

To handle all project management of a four-day, 12-film outdoor film event with audiences in excess of 2,500. Leading on: logistics and suppliers; ticketing; managing the venue; completing all relevant paperwork, risk assessments, budgets etc.

Cambridge Film Festival (17-24 October 2019)

To manage all Festival venues, including: liaison with venue partners and volunteers; preparing festival daily schedules and organising moderators; managing screen coordination; managing the audience awards; pre-festival liaising with Picturehouse technical team; and managing logistics for special events.

Interns / Volunteers

To manage all elements of volunteering, including: recruiting and line-managing a team of interns and volunteers across both Movies on the Meadows (approx. 20) and the CFF (approx. 90); organising rotas, keeping good records and compiling event handbooks; and attending volunteer events and delivering presentations.

The successful candidate will be proactive and have a audience focused approach whilst working in a team and in high pressure environments. They will have experience and competence in project and/or event management, excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to manage their own workload with minimal supervision and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Salary:  £26,000 per annum pro-rated.

Contract: Fixed Term six-month contract, from June 2019.
