The director of The Class returns with a drama set at a summer writing workshop in the South of France. Antoine attends the workshop in which a few young people have been selected to write a crime thriller with the help of famous novelist Olivia. The creative process recalls the town’s industrial past, a form of nostalgia to which Antoine feels indifferent. More concerned with the fears of the modern world, the young man soon clashes with the group and Olivia, who seems at the same time alarmed and captivated by Antoine’s violence.

The Cambridge Film Festival is presented by the Cambridge Film Trust, a registered charity with a mission to foster film culture and education for the benefit of the public, in Cambridge and the Eastern region but also throughout the UK.
