László Nemes, Oscar-winning Son of Saul director, returns with Sunset. Set in pre-War Budapest in 1913, this is the tale of young Iris Leitner who arrives in the Hungarian capital with high hopes to work as a milliner at the legendary hat store that belonged to her late parents. When she is turned away by the new owner she refuses to leave the city and instead tries to uncover her lost past. Her quest takes her through the dark streets of Budapest into the turmoil of a civilization on the eve of its downfall. With his signature elegant long takes, Nemes brings a powerful and enthralling vision to the big screen.

The Cambridge Film Festival is presented by the Cambridge Film Trust, a registered charity with a mission to foster film culture and education for the benefit of the public, in Cambridge and the Eastern region but also throughout the UK.
