Nominated for the best first feature at Berlin this year, The Pigeon is a surprising film, that from the unlikeliest of material, creates a beautiful chamber piece. Dominating the film is a stunning performance from Kemal Burak Alper as Yusuf, a young man alienated from his family and the world. His only emotional connection is with his pigeons. His father forces him into work, but it is a world that soon takes him away from his pigeons and forces him to make difficult decisions.

The Cambridge Film Festival is presented by the Cambridge Film Trust, a registered charity with a mission to foster film culture and education for the benefit of the public, in Cambridge and the Eastern region but also throughout the UK.
