The Cambridge Film Festival is delighted to be opening with Terry Gilliam’s wildest extravaganza, after decades in the making: The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. A modern and satirical twist on the tale. Disillusioned advertising executive Toby (played by Adam Driver) returns to Spain, where he shot his graduation film. He discovers that the man he employed to play the role of Don Quixote has spent the intervening years believing that he really is Don Quixote, who soon becomes convinced that Toby is his trusted Sancho Panza. The Cambridge Film Festival is presented by the Cambridge Film Trust, a registered charity with a mission to foster film culture and education for the benefit of the public, in Cambridge and the Eastern region but also throughout the UK.
