General requirements
The internships are primarily designed for those who are currently pursuing or have recently completed a university degree in a related subject (such as Arts Management, Film and Media Studies, Communication, Journalism, English Literature, Modern Languages).
For any of these intern roles, candidates must have excellent communication and organisational skills. You must be patient, focused and able to concentrate in a busy environment. You also need to be adaptable, friendly, and a team player who is able to follow instructions and stick to procedures. You must be happy to deal with repetitive requests and duties. IT literacy (Macs or PCs) is also essential. Last but not least, you must be able to thrive under pressure and work to strict deadlines!
Why apply?
You will get a view ‘behind the scenes’ in a dynamic charitable arts organisation and first-hand experience of large-scale event management. You will observe something of the film-making world, and should pick up experience relating to the culture and business of the film industry. You may well have the chance to meet film industry professionals and film-makers. You will also enjoy a fun and friendly working experience and have the opportunity to attend some Festival screenings and events. Finally, you will gain invaluable experience for your CV.
