Pop-up Cinema at Cambridge's Big Weekend from the Cambridge Film Trust

Launching our Summer of Outdoor Cinema

Celebrating the arrival of the Olympic Torch in Cambridge with a packed programme of specially-selected feature films, locally-produced shorts, and family favourites - all screened for free in our brand new pop-up cinema tent at the Big Weekend, keeping you entertained through the day and into the evening.

What is the Big Weekend?

The Big Weekend in Cambridge will showcase the City and the County's unique Olympic sporting and cultural heritage, with the Olympic Flame providing the focal point of the celebrations. More info on the range of activities and events taking place is available on the City Council's Summer in the City website.

Where

The Big Weekend will be in the centre of the city on Parker's Piece. Look out for 'the Cinema tent'!

No tickets necessary, just show up - it's FREE!

Volunteer

We're currently looking for volunteers to station themselves by our tent and enthusiastically explain the programme of films to members of the public. > Download more details and a brief application form in a 2 page PDF.
