Another Festival draws to a close, and we’re certainly ending on a high with some of our most anticipated films screening today.
We’re delighted that director Rajnesh Domalpalli has made a special stopover on his way back to India to join us for a Q&A following the screening of his film VANAJA at 3.15pm. This debut feature tells the story of a poor fisherman’s daughter and her battle against the odds towards her destiny to become a great dancer.
Don’t miss your chance to grab one of the last few tickets for our intriguing SURPRISE MOVIE at 5.30pm, or the 8.00pm screening of the new Peter Greenaway film NIGHTWATCHING. Peter is making his way to Cambridge as we write and we’re looking forward to a lively Q&A with him after the film – he has even promised to show us some of his work from his laptop.
If you couldn’t get into last night’s sell out screening of CONVERSATIONS WITH MY GARDENER, there’ll be a second chance to see this tender portrait of two men dealing with growing old at 8.15pm today.
Whatever you choose to see tonight and whatever you’ve seen over the last 10 days, we hope that you’ve enjoyed yet another successful Cambridge Film Festival. Thank you so much to anyone who saw a film, wrote a review, voted on the website, or even just had a drink in the bar. We hope to see you all again next year!

Film-maker Andrea Kreuzhage appeared live at the Cambridge Film Festival on Friday September 26, following the UK premiere of her film 1000 JOURNALS, despite being at home in California.
The quality of this recording is occasionally dodgy as it was grabbed from the live stream, but we think you’ll find it a fascinating insight into the project and the film.

Buy tickets for the opening performance of The Junction’s autumn theatre and dance season for just £5!
The Junction is pleased to offer Cambridge Film Festival patrons a special reduced ticket price for Ridiculusmus’ Tough time, nice time on Tuesday 30 September and Wednesday 1 October.
Staged in a bath, with the audience cast as voyeurs, this intriguing and tragicomic drama probes the depths of identity and connection. Martin, an ex-rent boy drug-dealing lawyer, offers to share his tales of misfortune with Stefan, a jaded hack writer on a junket. Together they engage in an intricate exchange of outrageous stories, weaving through movies, sex, celebrity and genocide. With its razor sharp dialogue and lightning pace, Tough time, nice time is challenging, vividly imaginative and utterly absorbing.
For more information, visit www.ridiculusmus.com. Please note that this performance is suitable for ages 18+.
To book your tickets at the special rate, please call the Box Office on 01223 511 511 and quote ‘TTNT Film Festival’.
