Based on the first instalment of Stieg Larsson's hugely successful Millennium Trilogy, THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO introduces us to a world of buried secrets, family tragedy and simmering sexual tension. Financial reporter Mikael Blomkvist (Nyqvist) is enlisted by industrial magnate Henrik Vanger (Taube) to solve his niece's murder 30 years ago. On the case, Mikael meets Lisbeth Salander (Rapace), a troubled but beautiful young hacker. Escaping the demons of her own past, she is drawn to the investigation. As the pair dig deeper into the Vangers' complex history, they will uncover a series of shocking events that will draw them inexorably together, but place them in the greatest danger they have ever known.
