A Swedish Love Story marked Roy Andersson's feature film debut and was an enormous international success, winning several awards at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1970. The film takes place during the Swedish high summer when two young people meet and fall in love. Oblivious to social boundaries, we see their love grow, as they innocently create their own milieu, expecting little from the adults around them.
